I'm just so completely frustrated at this point. At least we have a couple of weeks before the holidays hopefully this can be fixed before Christmas pictures. He's 18 now and this will most likely be the last year we get a family photo with just our whole nuclear family living under the same roof. SMH
I've been going here for a year or so and I've yet to have a bad experience. The ladies that work here are very friendly and skilled and with online check-in you get in and out in 15-20 minutes depending on your cut. If you're looking for something quick and easy, go here.
This most recent visit. (I really wish he would stop going here.) The front of his hair not only looks like Moe from the 3 stooges but isn't even straight! To top it off its so short the only fix is to completely save his head. Ugh
The first thing the stylist did after he asked for a mullet was shave the back of his head. Two things here. She either had no clue what a mullet is and didn't want to see uneducated so she didn't ask for clarification or she took it upon her self to decide for my son how his hair should be cut. Neither is a sign of a good stylist. Hhhh...
Everytime my son goes into great clips in Troy he comes out looking worse! I'd be there demanding a refund right now if I wasn't recoverying from surgery. The thing is they've had good stylist and fired them. Great management technique there.
I took my 2 teenage sons there and asked if they could cut African American hair, they said yes,
Where's the zero star button?
(on S Lincoln and Dorothy Dr), that can cut your hair, and he is a lot cheaper and will do a better job, in fact it was a Caucasian gentlman that told me about him, He cuts his hair.
Awesome job, friendly and did my hair cut the way I wanted it.
There is a African American Barber out there in Troy
When the lady at great clip asked my son "What is a FADE", that was what he wanted, he should have ran, A Very Distraught Parent
There is excellent communication between staff members and they were able to get my cut just the way I liked! Seems like a great crew. Prepare for a little wait if you don't check in using Great Clips Mobile app. I plan on returning.
I dropped my 2 sons off and came back to get them, they had patches all over their head, the manager kept saying the the lady that cut there hair had left for the day and the cuts for the 2 was $30.00.She was rude and unapologetic, My sons got to go to school like this till Wedenday when their barber get back. I asked the manager why would they cut their hair knowing they could not cut african american hair. She said that the lady that cut their hair was married to a african American, for real, so that make her qualified to cut African Americans hair. The manager told me to leave and Great Clips did not want our business, really I got to be a fool to take them back there. The kids wanted to try them out because their regular barber was on vacation and they wanted to get their hair cut for Sunday.
On a previous visit his hair was pretty long. He asked for a mullet. Not my preference but he was 17 . So let him express himself and be silly as he sees fit while he's still young enough to do so. As a parent I choose to fight my battles elsewhere.
So if you are of African Descent, in Troy ,Mo, Do not go to Great Clips to get a hair cut. please go somewhere else.
I would not even take my yorkshire Terrier there for a trim, NEVER AGAIN.
